Hi madeho,

nice, why didn't you posted it here? ;)

Note that just changing !thi to tlo only fixes Flimbo's Quest, it requires all three changes mentioned above to fix both games.

Cheers!

boing4000:

I built and tested a core for the original minimig board with the mentioned CIA TOD fix. So far, it looks OK.

Attached is the core and the updated CIA8520.v file.

Cheers!

There is one thing I find puzzling: Just about every new version of minimig files seems to have some different spacing and indention rules at work.
Aren't you ever doing diffs? Checking out what has changed can be uncomfortable.

And now back to being productive!

Yes, I'm familiar with diff tools. Are you? Maybe you should read the docs, there's usually a nice option that allows you to ignore whitespace changes.

Besides that, I didn't make any whitespace changes at all:
https://github.com/rkrajnc/minimig-upst ... 33bcbbab2b

The whitespace and indentation of the minimig sources is a mess indeed. It doesn't bother me so much that I would fix it, but if it bothers you, you can clean up the sources yourself and post your work here. I wouldn't mind that at all ;)

I meant not you, but You (jeez, the English language has 3x more words than Norwegian and still it doubles up the use of the same word?).

Thanks for the offer, I might pick you up on it, but that raises another question: What on earth is the official repository, or are there several for different platforms? I have come across a good many and I'm not sure everyone marches to the same beat...

(Oh, and perhaps the most important, tabs or space, space after "//", and any other rules to follow?)

That is a good question ;) There is no 'official' repository for the minimig project, but there are many different 'flavors' of it for different boards all around the net.

Perhaps your best bet is to start with the boing4000 releases for the original minimig board. But maybe you should check with him first if he is interested in using the results of your work ;)

Even agreeing on formatting might be problematic - I'm for 2 spaces, no tabs, space after // when it's a comment, but no space when a line of code is commented, linux line ends, 'begin' statement not by itself in a line ... I could go on, but I doubt everyone could even agree on this subset ;)

Thanks for your work and time, sounds promising!
I will have a look at it as soon as possible.

PS: typing source code is like an individual fingerprint ;)

Hi gaula92,

did you have any chance to test the core? Any games not working that used to work before? I'd guess there is not a lot of chance for that, but it wouldn't hurt to try it out ...

I have tested the core and both game (Batman The Movie & Flimbos Quest) are operating fine.
So fare no new bugs has apprear in other title.
Thanks for the work and share!

I will combine this fix with the other fixes and changes in my own source and prepare a new release.
But my version will have the keypad Joy emulation as it was before, since the alternative mapping is annoying to me ;)
