Disk: Anarchy-Infestation71.dms (attached)
Demo: Darkness - Roboticool
Screen: Hambars
WinUAE (set as standard A500) shows screen full of moving horizontal and vertical color bars
Works also with cpu set to 68020@28 MHz

Minimig DE1 shows moving and blinking chaos
(rest of this demo works OK)

Hi pik33,

looks like the demo is very picky about the hardware config, as I both managed to run it successfully on minimig-de1 and bork it on WinUAE 2.6.0.

Working configs:
minimig: 68000/PAL/ECS/0.5CHIP/0.5SLOW/KICK13
WinUAE 2.6.0: A1200 quickstart

Non working:
minimig: 68000/PAL/OCS/1.0CHIP/KICK13
WinUAE 2.6.0: A500 quickstart

Attached are non-working screenshot from WinUAE and a working snap of minimig-de1.

Enjoy!

When minimig is set as ECS, the demo works.

And this is strange because I run it with winuae as standard A500 set in Quickstart - it didn't even boot when I set UAE to A600, so I didn't try it with ECS.

Did you also try the 1.0 CHIP versus 0.5 CHIP / 0.5 SLOW? This sometimes makes a difference for some software.

Remember an Amiga600 already is a full-ECS machine ;)

I will try this demo on the MinimigV1 board with different settings.
If it really works at ECS only, this will be the 2nd known demo. The 1st one is "Wind It Up".

It seems memory settings don't matter, this screen simply needs ECS in Minimig.

Yes you are right :)
Even on real OCS Amiga 500 this screen looks totally destroyed!

Now this is the 2nd known demo (beside mentioned "Wind it up") based on an ECS Agnus, at least for this one effect part.
