Hahaha! What a curious thing, Minimig_emu! It's very funny to hear Manic Miner music and sound on the Pacman audio hardware, sounding with the Pacman instruments :D
Thanks for this! I hope you and boing4000 will complete the ARM firmware with ability to load these crazy cores from OSD. It will be great!

Yes thanks for this core, another fine arcade game running nativ on the Minimig board :)

The ARM firmware got far and works well!
Even some former requests out of the forum are implemented.

@boing4000 and minimig_emu: Will we get the Master System core to load ROMs from the main Minimig SD? I never could get it to load anything from the joystick port, and the Master System has some INCREDIBLE games. Having them on the Minimig would give us, for example, the best Sonic game ever made.

Will be hard to make different core load through the PIC or ARM chip.
Since every system require different settings or communication ways, the firmware must know them all and has to detect the running core (computer system) to act as requested.

For a few cores it may be possible to pre-load the required ROM files into S-RAM (like Amiga Kickstart) and then load the actually core. This core need to be adapted to address S-RAM chips to get those pre-loaded ROMs at given address.

In general it would be much more easy to let each core access some kind of port or io-pin to load something.
Like an unused JOY port or the Spare-IO for IEC bus as in VIC20.

@boing4000: the problem is that, even if I built the joystick-sd adaptor, I never got it to read anything from a MicroSD. Did you succeed?

I did not try this at all until now.
The resistors at the Joy ports could be the cause of this problem.
