Hi everyone,
Not a C64....so sorry.

But Colecovision. Copy the mig_cv.bin to the sdcard.

Set jumper to FPGA on the Minimig board.
PS2 Keyboard controls:
key pads 0..9 = 0,1..9
#=Q *=W

fire1='Z' button2='X'

Use a terminal emulator or hyperterm etc.. with xmodem or xmodem checksum only.
baud rate = 38400,8,n,1. Select a rom file
Start send and press Q or W on the Minimig keyboard.
If progress bar not moving, press Q or W again. 'B'= bad record (will retry?) 'G' means ..

To re-download, use hold down joypad fire 1 and press 'W'. (Must use with JoyPad 1 fire button)
I hope I did not screw up with the instructions.

Try the Galaxian.rom included. Have fun. Source code to follow.

Sounds good, even if I never had this gaming console.
Will try the core and RS232 upload soon. Sources are welcome :)

Im having trouble in downloading any ROM file.
Terminal program (miniterm in Linux) always sais "offline" and any xmode upload run into void.
Minimig board is connected via cross-over RS232 cable (works for PIC update) and jumper set to "FPGA".

ColecoVision core reports "downloading" but return to "Press * or #" message after about 10 sec.
I tried with all kind of flow control (hardware RTC/CTS and software (xon/xoff)", nothing worked.

Is there any special trick?
Does "Q" mean without checksum and "W" means with checksum?
What should be used by default?

Me it works great. Tested on OSX 10.5.8 with ZTerm. But the picture is not ok. Screen is wide and not fit on the monitor (Eizo FlexScan L767 LCD).

@boing4000,
1) You should receive some symbols on your terminal(terminal must be capable of showing non-ASCII symbol), after 10 symbols you should receive a E - 'Ended' At least sending from Mig to PC should work
No worries just timed-out. Just start the sending and press Q or W (no special meaning)
2) I've used oldest and simplest xmodem checksum only 128-byte packet. You just need RX,TX and GND.
3) The Pic18 chip (or ARM) must have RXD pin on high. -shared with FPGA. Should be universal across version?

@minimig_emu,
On my Flatron LG2240T, the minimig boot screen and coleco screen are both centred. Only the zxspectrum core screen is not. But a press of auto centering solves that. The LG seems to remember all these settings.

It's rather low-res that coleco screen...

I've been playing with vic20 on minimig (expanded 32K) with a DIY IEC2SD board that I forgot to upload the CV src. So here's it. I've pulled up the user port pins so that 4M Minimig(?) can use this. Hopefully ppl here can enjoy it and take it further.
Read readme.txt in xmodem folder.
