Until now no real Amiga mouse is supported in Minimig. Lemmings in 2 player mode (unfortunately) is impossible.
I dont know if adding real Amiga mouse support is necessary for only a very few game with 2 mice gameplay.

But we are talking about Lemmings! :-)

Now, seriously. I understand the constraints on both available space in the logic and developer time. What are the most important hurdles that one is facing if such a task were to be completed. A more complete implementation of CIA logic and Denise(#08M1H, #09M0H, #38M0V, #39M1V)? Are the POT signals of Paula(#32POT0X, #33POT0Y, #35POT1X, #36POT1Y) also needed? For Light pens (seriously not needed) I see that also Agnus has to be amended (#78LP*)

Just to be clear, I have no clue. I just want to understand. This post was composed after a brief read on the Amiga Hardware Reference Manual.

Actually only two 8bit counter and its routing to JOY1 pin is required... generic mouse support already is present but not routed at joysticks port. This is no big task but until now we did not need it too much. Also there are very few well working amiga mice left, most of them is stocking and are not very handy any more.
If Lemmings will be the most reason for implementing real Amiga mouse support, it may be possible. By now other feature and bugfixing was more importand, maybe Jakub find some little time to implement this in next release.
Lets see :)

I'm still in awe of this update, but whaddayaknow - one of my favourite games now long works! :(

The game in question is Transplant from aminet: http://aminet.net/package/game/shoot/Transplant

It works for me with kick 1.3, NTSC and fast blitter. If your copy doesn't work with these settings I can send you my ADF.

Regards

Heh, the only thing I never bothered to try was using NTSC

Yes - I now have it working, with NTSC it works also with kick3.1 etc... strange! :D

EDIT: But somehow, setting the joystick to autofire doesnt make any difference :?:

Just to answer myself - with the ARM controller installed and all, transplant works perfect again, regardless of PAL/NTCS, OSC/ESC, fast/slow settings :)

For the ARM controller a new FPGA core file is required and this one provide even more compatibility then latest PIC (+FPGA) release :)

Here is a new FPGA core file to work with current PIC firmware release.
It is my personal attempt to make the latest YQ090911 ARM compatible FPGA core work wirh YQ090421 PIC based Minimig board.
Until now everything works fine but WITHIN PIC LIMITS.
The real ARM compatible release do offer much more feature, PIC will not be able to use them.

advantage of this release: use the highly compatible FPGA core with PIC MCU.

Rename or save the current core file, then store this core file on current sd-card.

And here is another FPGA core for latest PIC firmware.
This one is based on 090421 FPGA release and just provide several little changes:
- keyboard led patch (num-lock=off, scroll-lock=pwr+drive led indicator)
- OCS/ECS switchable via last available spare-i/o jumper (pin 5-6). DEFAULT OPEN=OCS
- little changes to OSD and bootloader appearance

OSD is displayed in lores, as it should be.

Save original Minimig1.bin file before replacing this one.
