By now it seems this kind of problem was only present in your case.
Maybe you try again, with the .BIN file in the archive out of 1st posting. Possibly there was something wrong and now you know how to flash the ARM via USB, so there is no risc (but still fun) in it.

At a1k.org many user tried and use this firmware and by now I did not read about and problem.
But if you do not miss the new features, the AYQ100818 will for sure work fine for you.

I just upgraded to this firmware and had the exact same problem:

all files were there, same error.

Renamed my kickstart (I had a few on the SD) to KICK.ROM, then it all worked again.
I did not have a KICK.ROM, in stead I had like KICK13.ROM KICK12.ROM KICK204.ROM
It did not seem to read the old config file in which the correct Kickstart file was mentioned.

Not a problem at all, it works fine now and it doesn't give the track reading error anymore on Escape from the planet of the robot monsters.
Great work!

Thanks for the report.

My own 2 ARM boards work with the same new firmware and all files was found on the same sd-card as before. Im puzzled.
This seems to be a rare error but I will keep an eye on it and if it is reproducible, the bug hunt can begin :)

In general its helpful to have a working "kick.rom" file in card root folder, just in case the config file is damaged or missing.

Oh by the way it wasn't actually crashing, it just said NO KICK ROM twice and that was it. One of the LEDs on the minimig keeped blinking.
I have to mention this was happening with the old minimig binfile, so that might be one of the causes as well. Didn't test the new one yet, that's next on the list.

If the DRIVE led starts blinking, it has something to do with the sd-card like:
- no card detected
- no fat partition found
- no required file(s) found

As soon as the monitor screen show a picture, the FPGA core (minimig1.bin) file is found and loaded.
All further error will be printed on the bootloader (blue background) screen.

I assume the ARM update made the config file unuseable, maybe due to file transfer from PC/Mac.
Therefor a "checkdisk" run could help in fixing (little) FAT error producing trouble with the Minimig.

I don't know what happend, but the minimig1.bin was loaded indeed, but an older version from 2011 (or maybe I put the file on the card in 2011). Ther blue screen was just fine, until the last 2 entries: NO KICK ROM and something about no configuration.
After renaming the kickstart to KICK.ROM all was just fine.
Now I'm about to try the newer FPGA core FSB140414

Ive tried also flash it with older yaqube firmware, but results are same.
Its long time ago when ive programmed it and i somply dont know what to do :D

edit: alternate cores loads well (ie frogger renamed to minimig1.bin)

Seems the regular Minimig1.bin Amiga chipset file is damaged.
Or the Minimig board has some trouble regarding the S-RAM or the 68SEC000 chips.

Those Arcade core all only work inside the FPGA without access to the other chips.
If more alternstive core work but no more Amiga core, then there is some hardwre trouble present.
Please try the original YQ100818 FPGA core together with the YQ100818 ARM firmware. If this still do not work or at least show a bluish screen color, the 68k or RAM is not working right. Possibly a broken solder point?

file "MINIMIG CFG" found
Configuration file size: 100
Wrong configuration file size: 100 (expected: 124)
