When using my Minimig the keyboard suddenly stops responding. It is simply solved by unplug and replug it. It happens now and then. Sometimes after a minute and sometimes it can run stable for like an hour. When it's dead it does not respond at all. Caps lock does not turn on the led. F12 does not bring up the menu. Reset does not work...

After replugging it, it will stiill stop working again after a while.

I am not sure where the problem is. I have to find another compatible keyboard to try with and I must try my keyboard on another machine... Just want to ask here if someone has had similar symptoms and found a solution?

What kind of keyboard do you use.
Is it an USB one with passive adapter plug or a native PS2 one?

What FPGA core file (Minimig1.bin) release is in use?

I'm using an old regular PS/2 keyboard and the latest core, 20130321.

Today I played several hours without one single drop... Strange.

Sound like there is a broken wire inside the cable, or the PS2 port has a broken soldering point.
Maybe the keyboard plug has a bad seat into the PS2 port. Try different keyboards.

Try to shake the cable a bit while keep pressing F12 (OSD) on and on.
If all 3 LED at the KBD sometimes flash for a moment , there is a contact problem in VCC or GND.
