I was testing Chameleon64 core today again (with the new OSD features, thanks Mmrobinson5!) and I noticed that, while it's far less compatible than the original Minimig (because of the CPU softcore vs real 68000 on the Minimig 1.1 board), it has some nice advantages:

-Video mode is WAY better! It uses a very nice hi-res video mode, very well scaled in current TFT monitors, vs the 720x576 mode used by the Minimig. They are both 50HZ modes so I get perfect scroll in games, etc, but the Chameleon 64 Minimig core looks way better in amiga lo-res and hi-res modes.

-Sound doesn't have that high-pitch sound in the current Minimig core. I know this high pitch sound is caused by the workaround used to correct the sound bugs in many games, but... does the Chameleon 64 have this issue finally fixed? Or it simply doesn't consider the problem so there's no fix or temporal workaround? I can't test it, as GODS doesn't work on the Chameleon 64 Minimig core.

So, are those features (not sure about the second) possible in the Minimig 1.1 board?

regards

Using an infra-red CDTV controller is nice too. I got mine from AmigaKit.
