As long as Its not very much slower than a regular Migg I will bear with it :-D

You can create your own HD file of any size

use a tool such as Blank File Creator to make a file of the appropriate size. call it "something.hdf"

use HD toolbox to partition the file with minimig, format, done...

Right, I just made it this way under Linux:
dd if=/dev/zero of=/tmp/HDF100M.hdf count=204800

Result is a blank 100MB hdf file (filled with zeros) and ready to use in Minimig :)

I got the hardfile but still having problems, first of all i got a A600 3,1 kickstart that should work, but it stops at a blue screen after the initial loading. My 1,3 and 2,05 does not do this.
I also have a 2.05 A600 kickstart - I think its the HD version,
Anyway in the settings the hardfile does not show up as I enter the dir it is supposed to be in,
MASTER and SLAVE merely says N/A,
A600 HD is enabled. 2010 something PIC with 100818 FPGA (I believe - so not the absolute latest, but Im not competent to flash right now..)

Any more help appreciated .. :-)

Is it important there is no disks in the floppy drives when adding hardfile ?
Any other prerequisite settings ?

EDIT:
Is there anyway I can unscramble a Amigaforever ROM ? And use that ?
I tried the two tosec 0.0.4 roms I had for A500/600/2000 (3,1 40.63) and one for A3000
and neither worked in WinUAE, an AmigaForever ROM worked there though. But I guess that damn ROM.key prevents its use on the MiniMig.

EDIT2:
Managed to extract a 3,1 rom with SaveRom from BlizKick package.
Seems to work however its a black screen for a little longer than usual at start of boot.
Still no go finding my hdf files though even though they are in the proper dir and are named .hdf , just cant enter the dir.
And Master and Slave says n/a
Found out my PIC has 20100413... as programmed from AmigaKit ..

Ugh !

If Kickstart don't work, it may be encrypted or damaged in some way.
Until now there is no known problem in Minimig core or firmware regarding any Kickstart version.

All hardfile (with .hdf extension) must be located in sd-card ROOT directory (same for all .rom files)
There is no (known) support for sub-folder as for .adf.

PIC firmware PGL100818 is the latest known release. Works well with HDF and 2x floppy speed setting.
Maybe AmigaKIT made an own PIC firmware release?

A600 Kickstart 2.05 has several sub-release version as:
37.299 - NO IDE boot support
37.300 - partial IDE support, Autoboot but may not work for HDD/HDF >40MB
37.350 - regular Kickstart version supporting IDE, Autoboot and HDD/HDF size up to 4GB
For Minimig the 37.350 version always should be used.

As in real Amiga, an inserted floppy in any drive may affect boot order.
Depending on set boot priority of your HDF partition(s), the HDD could boot with or without an inserted disk in DF0. Standard setting is DF0 > HDD = if no floppy is inserted, HDD boots - if a floppy is inserted, this will boot before HDD.
This can be changed in HDToolbox.

A longer boot time with black screen after a reset may be due to missing "last drive" setting in used HDF. Kickstart than will search for another (slave) HDD/HDF until timeout.
Start HDToolbox again and check if its says "changed" at the start-up information for the attached HDF. If so, click "save changes" and there should be no more waiting.

Wohoo ! Success !! Putting the hardfiles in the root of the SD worked !
And I did manage to extract a 3,1 kick from WinUAE - AF kick extracted with BlizKick Saverom command ! (saverom RAM:kick31.rom - then putting it to my PC hd via a harddrive dir mounted in WinUAE.)

Thanks a bunch for info ! Cant understand why AmigaKIT had made a Harddrives subfolder on the SDcard...

No chip flash needed.
Just store a current "Minimig1.bin" file in sd-card Root and start-up Minimig.
The mentioned file is the FPGA-core and it will be load via PIC/ARM into the chip.
After a power-down the FPGA will be "empty" again, it act mostly like S-RAM.

Hello guys,

After three years it seems someone was still seeding, but I only got as far as 34.1%. Anyone still got it to seed? If I manage to get it I could upload it to one of my servers for direct leeching... :)

Cheers
T

I do not fully understand your request. What file is affected?
Please write again (welcome is raw computer-english ;)).
