Hi everyone. I have the ARM board and finally had an opportunity to install it. I've seemed to miss a step because no matter what, I always receive the "Incompatible MCU Firmware!" message. If someone would provide me an explanation with details on files that I need to use, I would really appreciate it.

I should note that I added firmware.upg to my card's root directory as well... This failed, so I tried adding variety of different minimig.bin files to no avail.

Thanks for your help.

Please copy a matching release version of "Minimig1.bin" file to the sd-card and start the system.

After that Minimig should boot up normal. Then you can upgrade the ARM firmware via OSD!
After that again you have to store a version matching "Minimig1.bin" file on sd-card to make the system boot again.

Its almost simple: ARM/PIC and FPGA only works together with matching release timestamp.
From the distance its hard to say what version you need, but certainly an ARM compatible Minimig1.bin file.
more later... I have to leave now...

Assuming you're using the latest upgrade, you should do the following steps:

copy the ARM upgrade file to the SD card.
Insert the SD card in the Minimig and power up.
Access the menu and update your firmware from the update file (FIRMWARE.UPG)
Reboot and your Minimig should now report that there is a compatability problem.
Power down and replace the Minimig1.bin file with the new one that came with the firmware upgrade.
Switch on your Minimig and it should now run.

The thing is, make sure you are using the correct upgrade and bin files. If in doubt, email me at darrin01311 at aol dot com and I'll email you the ones that work on my Minimig/Arm setup.

Not sure if this will help:

This is the original firmware download sent to me by Jakub for my new ARM board. Works on my v1.1

Remember to delete the .pdf before use :)

Hope you don`t mind Jakub ;)

Hi everyone. Thank you for everyone's help. It was very appreciated. I managed to get things working by starting with a fresh SD card and copying the original minimig1.bin noted onto it. Everything is working perfectly now. Thanks for taking the time.

Hi :)

Don't forget that I have made a little guide for upgrading the ARM controller with the last firmware version on my webserver HERE.

Thanks ;)
