Hi,

I'm browsing and browsing but I cannot find anything which says square what rev 1.1 is for sure. Is it the regular Minimig mainboard 1.0 with the ARM board add-on? Or a completely different mainboard? That is, can I use FW YQ090911 on a regular 1.0 mainboard with ARM add-on?

I've fed Google image with "rev. 1.1 minimig" but all the images I get are pictures of the same board I have (regular 1.0).

Sorry to post for such a question, though. :?

If I remember correctly, the v1.0 board needed a patch wire to operate correctly. The v1.1 board has this patch integrated into it. Thats all AFAIK.

Operate correctly?! Uh oh... does that mean that I'll have to mod my 1.0? 'Cause I'm afraid not to have the required soldering skills. Is there a diagram that shows how to attach the patch wire?

EDIT: well, I mean I know HOW I'm supposed to solder wires but I don't know WHICH with WHICH.

This unfortunatley I don't know and even worse is that Dennis' website which I'm pretty sure had this info on now 404s (well, the link that Google gives) and the site dosen't seem to be archived properly over at archive.org

Sorry...

The patch wire goes from MCU pin #15 (SPI_DOUT) to Spare-I/O pin #9. Its easy to do on pcb backside.
After that the FPGA should be able to configure.

BUT: If your Minimig currently IS working with PIC, it also will work with ARM controller!

Does this link help? http://www.amigaforever.com/news-events ... 16minimig/

Or this pic? I`m not entirely sure if it`s the fix in question So you should check with Yaqube or Boing4000 first.

This is the right fix for Minimig pcb Rev 1.0 to make the FPGA configureable.
In bcp Rev 1.1 this wire already is wired up on the bcp as track conductor.

If your Rev 1.0 board currently is working with PIC, it also will work with ARM.

Hi all, thanks for your replies.

I'm so stupid. I wrote this post on a trip far from home, sure that my board was 1.0. Now I'm back home and I can see that it's 1.1. And working good (just finished setting it up now).

Well the pic posted by turbonut2000 sure is interesting anyway! :)
