It's written on the chip!

Im glad you made it :)

Perhaps now try "upgrading" the ARM via FIRMWARE.UPG file and OSD menu again. No matter if its the same firmware version, just to see if its working now. If not, there is something wrong, perhaps with card slot or used sd-card type.

Sorry to post this here, I'm not having much luck elsewhere.

Would anyone have one of Yaqube's ARM Controllers to sell ? I'm eager to own my own Minimig, but the native RAM support is too low. It seems the extra 2MB of RAM makes all the difference with this FPGA. Any offers would be very very appreciated .. Thanks!

Hi sys64738 :)

To purchase an ARM board please pm yaqube or Faranheit, for S-RAM expansion and sd-card speed-up rework also Faranheit.

In general the ARM controller will speed-up only data transfer of sd-card. Floppy and hdd support will be faster then using standard PIC chip with current available firmware. Minimig (the Amiga chipset) itself will not get faster with ARM controller

Currently whole Minimig memory is operating at chipmem speed, therefor additional 2MB will not make Minimig any faster.
Sure with 2MB expansion Workbench will offer more program to start, also WHDload will profit about it, no doubt.

Using OSD menu "CPU : turbo" setting indeed will speed-up cpu performance + access of memory, floppy and hdd even with standard 2MB (1.5MB user available) board. This function depend on used Minimig1.bin core file and is not always best for game/demo. Like in real Amiga some program dont like any faster cpu then 7.09MHz. Floppy and hdd access will gain speed in cpu turbo mode, best for Workbench operation :)
