Copied from the [cone_cores] Yahoo Group.

From Jens Schoenfeld...

"Hi list,

the best way of saying "merry christmas" is with a little gift: The
Minimig core V1.21 which is available from the download section of
the official C-One website http://www.c64upgra.de/c-one makes use of the
large memory chip on the FPGA extender: In addition to 2M Chipmem and
1M fake-fast memory, there's now another 8M fastmem usable from any
program, resulting in a total of 11 Megabytes of usable memory. The
update also fixes a few timing-problems, so any startupproblems
should finally be a thing of the past.

Thanks to Tobias for all the work, but I'd like to mention that I
helped a little with the autoconfig stuff.

So.. merry xmas to everyone out there, and I hope to see someone at
tUM between the 28th and the 30th of december!

ciao,
Jens"

Well that's some good news and a welcome Xmas present. I only wish I could be home to try it.

A big thanks to those involved.

Hopefully once the Minimig v1.1 core with hard drive support is released we will see the code from that used to give the C-One hard drive emulation too.

Thats one of my requirements met for a possible purchase, but did anyone manage to get the PAL core working?

With working PAL more memory and hard disk support preferably both hardfile and support for real hard disks
I would have real hardware solution to replace my ageing A1200 tower.

I can live without AGA if I have to but I need to have WHDLOAD support which means more than 1.5MB RAM
and HD support.

I already have a minimig which is a grate A500 replacement but it no threat to my A1200 tower, but the C-One is
looking very promising.

Especially if anyone manages to use a PCI graphics card in the slot as an Amiga RTG card from Workbench. :-D

Or better yet use the FPGA to emulate a virtual graphics card so we dont need to worry about swapping the video input between native Amiga display modes and RTG VGA modes.

Oh yes! Plus, have the A1200 clockports available to the Minimig so we can add a Subway USB controller. ;-)

I noticed on Jen's page that the Newboot dowload includes all the files for the Minimig, C64m Vic20 and Amstrad (with the exception of the Kick.rom files for the Minimig directories). Has anyone tested both the PAL and NTSC cores yet?

Works like a charm here.
