I didn't have any issues booting v1.29. I'm attempting to boot the new 2.01 core, but all I get is a red screen stating some issue with MENUE.SYS. Reading through the 'docs', it states there needs to be some sort of configuration file. Any idea what this file looks like?

Thanks, Brian

Red screen on Minimig is caused by:
- incompatible fpga to mcu release
- rom checksum error (caused by kickstart itself without any text on screen)

I suppose in this case some release conflict, but I dont know nor own a c-one to be sure what the cause could be.

The kick.rom must be copied in the root of the cf card.

If it happens again try to press CTRL+ALT+ALT Gr.

Kick.ROM was in the directory of the core. For the fun of it, I copied it also to the root of the card, and a few other places too. I get a red screen (Fatal Error 2 MENUE.SYS) but when I do a warm reset, it gets to a blue screen and sits forever.

Any other ideas?

I just went back and revisited this. I started my CF card over, and put the MENUE.SYS to any directory I could find. Nothing. I still receive an 'ERROR 2', whatever that is.

I'm up for any ideas... has anyone got this to work? If so, could you zip up your card so I could see maybe what I'm doing wrong?

Did this problem ever get solved? I just upgraded the minimig core on my C-One, and I get the same error. Tried everything above.

Nope, I've posted it on the C-One mailing list and got some pointers, but none had worked. When I asked what particularly the core was looking for when it crashed I never heard anything again.

Hm, not encouraging.

A possibly silly idea: could it be a compatibility issue with the CF-card, somehow? I remember I had some similair problems when I first got the C-One, but got it working after trying out 2-3 different CF-cards. Unfortunately I don't have any spare ones to experiment with atm.

I tried three different cards, I either got the same results and the last card was incompatible.
