That`s what i told you from the beginning on :P. It`s the best solution, when a tube(crt)-monitor or tube-tv is to big for the place.

Bought myself an Acer 23" LED TV.. certainly syncs to 50Hz via HDMI at 1920x1080 and sensibly priced

HEhe...yes, I just had to figure it out by myself :-D Now the LED 23" TV's is so cheap and so damn pretty that they also can cover the needs for our nerdy little (er..little?..i mean huge) hobby.

Scrolling are super-smooth through the VGA connector (Like if you use a scart connector on a TV) ?

On every CRT monitor which can display 50 Hz VGA mode the scrolling is always super-smooth.

Unfortunately LCD monitors look a little bit different. Only scrolling in vertical direction is guaranteed to be smooth. To have smooth scrolling in horizontal direction you need a monitor which can be set to 910 clocks per line. Otherwise you will experience some kind of horizontal moire pattern when the display scrolls horizontally.

"URIDIUM 2" is a good game to test, if scrolling is absolutely smooth.
