I still have some trouble to unserstand what this Classic WB "package" should be.
From my point of view it is just a WB 3.1 with additional tools to get better look&feel etc.

Best would be to install a neat WB 3.1 from the installation disks. After that WinUAE or some other way can be used to expand this installation to anything you like (magic menu, copper bar backround, MUI etc).

As you said WBclassic is just a package with workbench and a lot of installed applications. Since I do not have experience with workdbench I'd like to try that. After some testing it seems easier to build an installation from scratch!

With WINUAE you mean installing application through the emulator to see is the fit or something else ?

Right, the emulator can handle Minimig .HDF file too. Its more easy to install just downloaded software (package) this way without any floppy image or slow serial connection.

well I installed workbench 3.1 without anything else on 500mb hdf file. I renamed lemmings and turican cdtv iso to hdf files. I load these files as slave hd from the minimig menu but... nothing appears on workbench desktop. I am missing something here...

ps: Today I purchased an amiga 1200 from ebay!!!

In SYS:Storage/DOSDrivers/ you will find the CD0 icon.
Im pretty sure its ToolType info need adaption as:
ACTIVATE=1
DEVICE=scsi.device
UNIT=1
(case sensitive!)

Then just double click the CD0 and another drive icon should appear on Workbench.

yes!!!! Even though I can navigate easily through unix shells, DOS, mac os x terminal and other OS I have no idea about the Amiga OS! It took me a while to find how to change the unit setting from 2 to 1 but I did it ( I do not understand what is this though ) and I run lemmings!!!! I tried turican also without success. I floppy icon was mounted but it is empty, or it looks empty.

Hi,
I mounted and edit cd0 file. The slave image named as "X.iso.HDF" and added cd0 icon on workbench desktop. I can access cd0 files in shell. But it doesn't work, I cannot play xcdtv from virtual cdrom drive. Also , cdtv.rom loading from boot screen.But it dont replacement cdtv . Is there something missing. Can you help me?

You have to set "Slave: enabled", use "exit" function and reset Minimig via following OSD requester.
Its required, else Chipset will not enable both Hardfiles.

Unfortunately,it doesnot work. Slave is enabled. When minimig is reset , again hardfile on master loads.
