There is a new release of minimig-mist AGA v1.1 for the MiST board available, grab it here:

Thanks, because the last AGA core did not work for me... it freez after its bootloader (with text output) and the only thing working was the OSD menu. Even with latest ARM firmware release.

Yes, there are some stability problems, hopefully the new core will work better.

No need for any hurry. The prev. core is working and at least to me AGA is not that important ;)

It seems to me that in 1.1, disabling the A600 IDE controller does nothing. When I disabled it, I expected to be asked to reset the Minimig, but I was not, and even if I reset manually, hard drive files are still used even though the menu says A600 IDE is off.

A reset question never apreared in Minimig OSD, not even on the original board.
But the IDE on/off setting indeed should take over at the next Amiga-reset (lctrl+alt+alt or via OSD).

In fact the current AGA core act a bit strange, at least for the FastRAM detection and the chipset generation switch.
Maybe the next release will fix most of this issue.

I for sure hope the Fast RAM issue will be fixed, and when it is fixed, I wonder if "PrepareEmul A1200" will work, so that ShapeShifter will start, hehe ;)

Nice idea and it indeed could work.

Since we are in FPGA-world a real Mac68k-Core could do better... but the Shapeshifter has its coolness factor ;)

The firmware tries to detect if anything regarding IDE is changed in the OSD menu, so it knows when to apply new settings. I noticed this myself - sometimes the IDE settings change doesn't get detected. If the OSD doesn't request to reset minimig, the setting change didn't get detected. What I usually do is change the type of the slave to something different and then try disabling it again.

So, without a request to reset minimig, the changed IDE settings will *NOT* get applied. I'll try to fix this in the near future.

The fastRAM issue is known, but the cause of it is not. As far as Zorro Autoconf implementation, it *seems* it should work OK, so it could be a bug in the TG68 core. Still investigating :)

The chipset switch works as it should - the change was mentioned in the release notes. You cannot change from AGA to ECS/OCS while minimig is running, as Amiga will crash every time (different DMA sequences and transfer sizes). A special mode could be done to allow changes from OCS/ECS, but this doesn't seem very important to me. I mean, how many games / demos have problems with being either in OCS or ECS - I only know of two demos and maybe two games. Maybe I'll fix this sometime ...
