A new forum area is available and I would like to start with this...

I do own a MiST device, thanks for the nice donation to the "known" one :)
The amount of available core and almost all OSD supported are stunning! I do like the C64 and CPC simulation since I got and have those computer in original.

The AtariST core is interesting for an Amiga owner who never had a real ST. Some title are Atari-only and even quite good! I always was interested in other computer system, so the ST finally found its way to me and I enjoy it :)

A suggestion for the FPGA64 core would be a scanline emulation, because this feature help a lot to make the old gfx look nice on 31khz screen.
By now the .prg load is working good and I love the old-memory title like Arkanoid, Airwolf, Commando (music), Boulder Dash and Impossible Mission!

Only thing missing to me is a C16/Plus4 core... I would like to help in development but currently I do not have a clear mind for such a (Verilog) project.

Hi,

thanks for making a forum area for the MiST board!

If I remember correctly, Till is working on the scanline emulation for the C64 core, it's possible it's already in the latest version of the core, together with the 1541 emulation.

I honestly don't know much about the C16, but I bet there is some core somewhere implementing it. Porting it to MiST shouldn't be much of a problem.

I will check out the new release, thanks for the note :)

Thanks for creating a separate forum for MIST users. I'm also a new MIST user, mainly because of the Amiga support, but I've also tested the C64 with disk support and it's already really nice to play with! Hopefully the MIST will become more and more compatible with original Amiga 500 OCS.

I'm thinking of putting up a list with cores / compatibility issues mainly for Amiga 500 OCS 512/512 software. It would be nice to have a 'main website' where all new cores and compatibility charts can be downloaded. A starting point for new users, which I missed a bit to be honoust, and also helpful for developers. Hope to have some time for that soon.

I already started in my holiday by converting a lot of software to ADF / test it / analyse for viruses and test with WinUAE. That is, for my 350Mb disk archive that I used to play with when I was a kid. Of course that won't cover the entire software base. But the idea is to at least test those ADF's agains minimig and mist. (And it was a lot of work to convert -> analyse each ADF for viruses / compatibility, test it in WinUAE, etc, but I'm almost done)

I think there is still a big future for these FPGA Amiga's. It would be awesome to have this 'new hardware' in retro cases such as the new kickstarter Amiga cases. Also young kids of today like to play these oldskool games! :)

Anyways, I will be lurking this forum now and then. Thumbs up! Especially for the FPGA programmers who do the hard work!!!

Hi cosmiq,

a list of working / non working games would be great! If you want, you can post a link to your list here:
http://somuch.guru/minimig/minimig-mist/

Or, you could report broken games here:
https://gitreports.com/issue/rkrajnc/minimig-mist

For the records: A C16/Plus4 core for the MIST now exists (https://github.com/mist-devel/mist-bina ... /cores/c16)

Yes this porting is great, I already had found it and played my favorite game Tom16 until its (real) end :)
