Why don`t we use this as a sugestions thread on how to tackle spammers?
I`ll start:

Perhaps, when new members wish to join they should be asked to show some proof of their minimig ownership as a necessary precaution against spammers to be sent as a pm to admin?
I believe this was mentioned earlier in another thread by somebody else.

Thats a good idea, so we can be sure of a human member.

Also a new member should be asked a simple question like "What is the Minimig simulating?"
pre-coded answer could be "A.N.A.M.I.G.A." (or something else as q&a).
This word need to be enter without dots. Its not that hard to guess and I think a bit too hard for any bot.
